Christopher Spinella - Partner and co-Founder:
Mr. Spinella has more than 20 years of management experience in the health care and technology industries. Mr. Spinella
began his career in the Health Care Industry where he developed start-up managed health care companies, outpatient health
care centers in conjunction with leading medical centers, and acquired and consolidated medical group practices. Mr. Spinella
then founded Smart Technologies, Inc. and merged this company into APPSware Holdings, Inc. in order to continue in the
development and advancement of smart card technology. Mr. Spinella is currently
CEO of APPS Software; a co-founder of The dbXML Group; co-founder of Smith &
Wesson Advanced Technologies, a joint venture with Smith & Wesson; and
co-founder of APRIVA, a wireless application company developed by APPSware Holdings. Mr. Spinella was also
the Chairman and co-founder of Zanova, Inc. a B2B e-commerce company that was acquired by Onvia.com in July 2000 and a
co-founder of NetSearch, LLC, a wireless company that was acquired by Aether Systems in April 2000. Mr. Spinella
received a BS degree from Arizona State University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Paul Coppinger - Partner and co-Founder:
Mr. Coppinger has a 16-year history of leading successful software development projects. In 1987, he joined Digital
Composition Systems where he served as its Director of Engineering. During his three-year tenure at DCS, he guided the
development of dbPUBLISHER, a high-end Database Publishing application. The product was highly successful, receiving a
number of industry awards and honors, including "Product of the Year" from Electronic Printing and Publishing and
"Editor's Choice" from PC Week magazine. In 1990, Mr. Coppinger co-founded APPS Software where he has
designed and developed sophisticated software applications in more than 30 different industry sectors including:
e-commerce, wireless communications, encryption/security and voice-over-internet. Mr. Coppinger is currently
President of APPS Software; co-founder of The dbXML Group; co-founder of Smith
& Wesson Advanced Technologies, a joint venture with Smith &
Wesson; and co-founder of
APRIVA, a wireless application company. Mr. Coppinger was also a co-founder of Zanova, Inc., a B2B
e-commerce company that was acquired by Onvia.com in July 2000 and a co-founder of NetSearch, LLC, a wireless
application company that was acquired by Aether Systems in April 2000. Mr. Coppinger received a BS in Computer
Science in Engineering from Arizona State University. His post-graduate work includes formal theory, compiler design
and construction, and advanced code optimization strategies.
Michael Klingen - Partner and co-Founder:
Mr. Klingen has a 18-year history of developing sophisticated software solutions. His career started in 1985 as a software developer
for Intran Corporation developing publishing technology that was later sold to Xerox Corporation. He later joined Digital
Composition Systems where he developed advanced user interfaces and publishing technologies for its flagship product
dbPUBLISHER. The product received a number of industry awards and honors, including "Product of the Year" from Electronic
Printing and Publishing and "Editor's Choice" from PC Week magazine. His background in object-oriented design and
development began with a programming language called Smalltalk, the first object oriented programming (OOP) language
and a byproduct of the Xerox PARC initiative. In 1990, Mr. Klingen co-founded APPS Software and applied
his expertise in the design and development of sophisticated software applications in more than 30 different industry
sectors including: e-commerce, wireless communications, encryption/security and voice-over-internet. Mr. Klingen is
currently Chief Architect of APPS Software; co-founder of The dbXML Group;
co-founder of Smith & Wesson Advanced Technologies, a joint venture
with Smith & Wesson; and co-founder
of APRIVA, a wireless application company. Mr. Klingen was also a co-founder of Zanova, Inc., a B2B e-commerce
